That's that 552 ft. lbs. of torque and Jim's 9.5" converter. I can ease into it and make it pull pretty hard, but any throttle stabbing annihilates the tires. I can't get anywhere near WOT without the Drag Radials.
Yes, but the speed limit around me is 25 MPH, and 15 MPH in school zones, and they are photo enforced. I can have some fun getting on the highway, but I run out of room very quickly as there is always some traffic. You have a lot more testing areas than I do.
Thanks for all the pictures and additional information Ray. I’m really looking forward to hearing more about your experiences with the car once you get some more seat time. I’m getting excited to have something similar in mine sometime soon!
Because it's not the one in the photo he posted. It's a mini starter LIKE the LT1 starter. I was just posting it as another option because they're very similar.
Two options ,...any 93 to 97 LT1 powered vehicle,...BUT,..the better option is the 94 to 97 Corvette starter,...it has the best foot print,..stronger design and easier to wire

Thank Ethan, never knew about the Vette starter.. how's it fit with headers? Design is the same as the powermaster. I have used the LT-1 starter on my run stand for years, to start everything from mild 350's, to high compression 555/560's. JW
The fronts are about 3 years old and the back 295/50 x 15s just about 2 years. I've already bought a pair of MT drag radials and 15 x 8 Buick Rallies for serious traction work. They are 275/50 x 15 and are the same diameter as my 295/50 x 15 Radial TAs. Don't know why since 275s should be shorter but, they are.
The light, high torque LT1 bolted right in and cranked the motor right up. No shims were needed. Mine did come with two new bolts which were just a tad shorter than the original bolts and needed for our motors. Even the factory starter shield bolted back onto the block.
Gobs of room in all directions,...you can use a regular 1/4 ratchet to hook up the wires with room to see and move
