Honestly I have no idea, I think I may call again today and see how things are going there, last I called, Tim sounded like he just got done running a marathon.
He said they're behind due to Covid, and the foundries with castings, then getting 'em machined, and they're machining the 455 heads first.
They need machinists for sure, and general help I guess.
I hope they can muscle thru this;)
Im just being patient and understanding.
Seems the "trade" industry is upside down now, EVERYTHING is weird.
Im out of work myself, and In my search for work (auto painter) it seems the Mom and Pop shops are hurting for YOUNGER workers, Im 56, and I dont fall into the "younger" category anymore, LOL, and thats what managers have told me, "I cant get any young people in here"
They want young and low pay, well thats not me:D
Arizona is more of a retirement state, not many young people wanna get their hands dirty there:(
    Hang in there TA:cool:

All I did here is quote what you posted in another thread buds:
Just giving you the same medicine you like to dish out. Guess you can't take the heat in the kitchen eh? Enough said.

    and get you by
So sorry and the Covid issue really did a number on these 350 AL heads that was a slow process from the start 5 years ago.

I had posted my local 7-11 manager cannot find anyone to work there, as it's easier for the younger people to just get a government check.
I have a feeling I will go to the 7-11 one day and it will be closed for the day, not completely closed but the poor manager is working easily 16 hour days 7 days a week.

Well if a shop wants to hire a young un experienced body painter or body man that will just come back to bite them big time. Instead of hiring and paying you the proper amount which i'm sure one or two cars a week will pay you well and get you by;)
    I'm 58 so I guess i'm a old timer also:eek:

10 years or so ago I moved from my home near the city of Boston to lower rent city apartment complex.
The property taxes on the home are brutal so it was more feasible to rent out the units and live were am at now. I came to the Fall River area because there was a shop that I was working 3 or maby 4 days a week machining brass and stainless steel knurled and threaded inserts for transformer mounting for my brother inlaws Fathers electrical engineering comp for $20 a hour under the table sshh!

Well that lasted about 4 years because as soon as my brother inlaw left the company because his father always treated him like **** for the past 45 years I lost that job for spite.

    It sure is weird Mark..

The quote I made was not directed at you it was for Mart. I did it right after his post. The only heat in my kitchen is from cooking hamburgs. I dish out information and help what is your MO chase me all day.

So so far every post you have made here in the last month has been to attack me and not contribute to what is going on in this 350 site
You absolutely tell nothing on how to turbo a car or give advice on what to do here I at least try to go the extra mile to help I guess that is what separates us I like to help and you like to chase after a person that gives criticism.

    g out.

Demko I tried to help on your job front I called the guy I know that works in a big dealership near Barberton and there was nothing available there.

Driving south from your area is not too bad when driving towards Akron everybody goes north in the morning so don't be afraid to head south for a job as it is easier to drive to Akron in the morning that Driving to Cleveland. I will keep my ears open for ya.

Ever try and go out and paint cars on your own I don't know exactly what part of the job you do I would expect you can do the entire job. If you are like me you would have done all aspects of the job.

I need a fix around my vinyl roof as I have rust around that area from back window all the way around

Wow, Thanks Guy, I REALLY appreciate it!!
Its ironic you mention about Akron/Cleveland jobs, most people I've run into or worked with were from the Summit county/Akron/Canton area, trades (Autobody/paint) people coming up north for work.
Yep, I can and have done everything short of heavy collision.
Only BIG drawback with paintwork is having a booth, you can make a decent one yourself, BUT, yer neighbors better be a good distance away:eek::rolleyes:
Its waaaay different now from spraying lacquer in my parents garage @ 13 y/o :p:p
Hey did you hear of the shooting at Dragway 42 Sunday? 1 dead 3 injured, this **** sucks!

I did hear of the shooting at D42 it is sad that this has gotten to the track now. people are just screwed up.
You used to be able to take all your stuff out of your car and go race and it would all be there when you made a run. I wonder if the same thing is happening today. I don't get there every weekend like I used to.

A innocent person was who got killed there at D42 he was loading up his race car. The shooter has not been found yet I wonder who this drunk bastard was. This is what happens when you drink that 13th beer I saw plenty of this crap growing up. Had a whole neighborhood full of drinking like idiots.... and some were a real morons.

Oops, I mixed up my words, I knew he had them on.
If i'm right the extreme heat started way after he put the AL heads on.
I do realize there might be many issues keeping Mike Jr. from the track.
