I saw this bad boy that Rusted Tires had in the swap meet area. I did not know that they were making a repro Goodyear Polyglas GT in an L60-15! Perfect for that "Day Two" look!
The White GSX in the pics is our one owner 1970 Stage-1 Auto Apollo White GSX. The car is a survivor car with 98K miles and is all original paint, interior, drivetrain. My folks bought it new in Oct of 1970 2 days before I was born. Super special car to the family and I enjoyed having the car at the event with my dad to talk about it. Wish the weather would have been better but it was great to get it out in the Survivor class. We got a silver because the car was a family car for 10 years so things like the headlights, battery and tires have all been replaced. My dad also put an HEI distributor and Aluminum trans pan on in the 1970. When we got the car out last year for the first time in almost 10 years and on the road for the first time since 1981 it was great to share the experience with family.
It was great seeing you Mark! I very much enjoyed hanging around with you and Dave discussing some of the details of the car. Look forward to seeing you all again next time.
Yeah Sam, I think you were pulling them on every launch! I wish I had the money for your car, it would look good next to my 68...
Tom Baker & me saw those NOS battery cables Thursday morning. The guy had three when we went by. We debated buying them but I didn't need one and neither did Tom but they are not something you see that often. And Jason, it was good finally meeting you in person!
