Title says it all... There is AC Delco, Gm Genuine, Delphi, Spectra, Airtex, etc. Listed on Rockauto. Don't want to cheap out. Would rather spend a few dollars more for reliability. Was going to buy whole housing assembly with new gauge sender, gauge has been flaky for a while. Buick content...it is the 3800 V6. Lol Thanks.
When I replaced mine about 2 years ago, I used the AC Delco complete unit (gauge sender, etc). Mine is a 1997 Formula with the LT1
I always try to use Delco or GM parts, it makes me feel better, but I believe that you are probably getting the same part no matter whose name is on the box. Even most of the GM pumps that I install come with a new connector or connectors and instructions for multiple applications. Many parts that are sold now just come in a plain box with a part number on a sticker. Same part, different part number for different manufactures.
Oof. It's been awhile since I've done one of those! Down goes the axle and exhaust. Its not an awful job on a lift. I would only run the delco pump. the spectras and store brand clones never make it more than a year.
Gonna make me a nice access door from the top. Saw a car at salvage yard where someone hacked a hole. Took pictures, so I know exactly where to cut.
