so the other day my fuel pressure gauge was reading fine - probably 35 year old oem mechanical pump running to a holley carb , was reading a steady 5+ lbs . street driving so ok .
the other day i see the ancient summit brand 0-15 fuel pressure gauge jumping from 0-6 lbs , crazy quick .
so i think probably the old gauge needs replacing . but then today i swap on a holley 770 street avenger that i rebuilt to test run for a guy , his gauge does the same thing ?
so , pretty low odds on two bad gauges old or not ?
EDIT : so the guy picks up his 770 today , I explain the gauge thing to him , he sez it does the same on his car . ? . maybe it is 2 old bad gauges ? I've got a newer one on the SBB i'll test with .

That can happen with fuel vaporization because of heat. Do you still have some winter blend fuel in it? It vaporizes easier. That has happened to me.

it's on my truck . thing runs fine , the in-line pressure gauge just jumps back n forth like crazy . cold or warm .
not winter driven , normally premium unleaded with a little seafoam and marvel mixed in .
if it is a pump problem i'd just rather not get stuck somewhere .
