Just installed a Tanks Inc EFI tank in my Skylark to replace the Spectra tank I installed about 10 years ago. I like the built in sump in the new tank and the recessed area where the fuel pump assembly and sending unit mount. It’s powder coated silver and holds 24 gallons. I also purchased their trap door that installs in the trunk and gives access to the pump assembly and sending unit. Nice setup if you’re looking for a stock looking stamped steel tank to accommodate an in-tank pump.

Looks awesome, I am looking for a replacement tank for my 70. It’s carbureted right now but figure I may as well go with a tank set up for efi as I would like to convert one of these days. Can I put the in tank fuel pump in and just not power it up for now? Or maybe do the trap door thing and just install the pump when I do the efi later.

You’re gonna need a fuel pressure regulator if you install with a carburetor, since the pump is for fuel injection.

And these bad boys are expensive.

I decided to go with the standard non-efi tank for now, even though I plan to be going EFI in the next few years.

nice EFI tank, did you compare with the Aeromotive tanks? If so what swayed you?

I looked at Aeromotive, Holley and Tanks, Inc. Since I already had an Aeromotive 340 LPH pump from the Stealth system that was installed in the factory tank, I didn't need an entire system. I found out from Holley and Aeromotive that Tanks, Inc actually builds the tanks they use with their systems so I just went straight to them. The tanks are made in Taiwan but that is pretty much the standard for a stamped steel tank.
