John Csordas Jr and Dave England will be teaming up and taking over as co race directors for the upcoming nationals.
There was lots of racers looking for change and some names were thrown around and myself was mentioned and pushed strong to team up with Dave.
We did not volunteer for this and I am very shocked and humbled that people believe in myself for this position to give a good event. We will be doing a question and answer to address concerns and possibly changes to help make the event smooth and better. I am all for the racers by the racers. I have lots of small things I want to correct myself and address for the event.
    More track time
    Payouts for the bracket classes
Additional days or racing not just testing
    Just to name a few.
Hope to see everyone there next year.

Very excited to hear this,...Brock asked me in the tower when will we have a dedicated race director,......I had no answer,...now we do! He was frustrated with lack of organization and I think that trickles down into the tracks willingness to do certain things,...

Excellent news, I am sure you will do a great job for the racers John.

I am planning on being one of them next year, but it will be a couple of years till I am back in the 16..

I heard there was lots of confusion. I'm going to do my best for the event and mostly the racers. Will be doing a Q and A getting lots of feedback and ideas and see what we can bring forward for next year.

Thanks Jim. No class or racer is any more important than the next. We are all equal. I was disappointed to hear about the no payout or very poor payout for the bracket classes. That is definitely something I am going to be addressing.

Congratulations! My first time down the track was at a Lebanon Valley Buick day event you put on, I have gone to several others over the years and it was always a good time. Excited to see what you and Dave have planned for the GS Nationals.

Maybe I missed the drama and confusion but thought to myself during the day(Sat) as I was watching the event and participating that it seemed to be running better than in years past. We got done early, people seemed to be happy. Only issue I saw personally was when it came time to collect payouts no one knew who got what and where the check book was. I personally sponsored 2 classes and had specified $ payouts for different places that was not recorded.

Congrats John! We watched you race but never got over there to say hello. Can you direct and race at the same time?

Yup, that's certainly the correct attitude to have, for your new job.. I was merely referring to the fact that S-16 was the only class I have ever run at the nats.. of course times change, and a lot more fast cars exist today, than in years past. I am building the stock eliminator car first, and while it will run 5-7 tenths under the 11.70 D stock index, that ain't Super 16 ET's.. That will take the S/ST-
S/G Regal that is waiting in the wings.

No i do not think helping to run the event and racing a car is a smart decision. As with the buick bash Denny and I took turns racing so someone was always available. The nationals is a larger event and requires alot more dedication so i will not race. I will put my dad in the car or i have a few friends that i would let drive it also. Luckily the skylark is super easy and do not have to do anything to it. Plus my dad knows the in between round checks that we do for safety. Sorry i didnt see you either. This year seemed to go really fast and i met more new faces and didnt get time with the people i know. No regrets it was fun.
    Thanks again

I can't think of anyone more dedicated to the racers needs than you John. Congrats on taking this on. Does Sr. still have his racing glove ? ;)
