So I was at this guys place making a deal on Buick parts and he showed me a set of NOS 65 Riv fenders his asking $1,200 for the pair and he showed me a 71-72’ 429 interceptor cobra jet motor, and he’s asking $2k for that so I told him I’d post it for him. He doesn’t have internet.

I’ll be going back there next week so if anybody needs more info I can get pics and such for you.

    1972Mach1 Just some M.M.O.G. guy.....

Would need to know head casting numbers to determine what it is. Police interceptors will have head casting D0OE-R for '71 and D2OE-AB in '72. No Cobra Jet in '72, so if it is a '71 Cobra Jet, it will have head casting D0OE-R also. Block should be a D0VE-A or D1VE-AA for both, and without removing the pan there's really no way to tell if it's a 4 bolt main or 2 bolt, but even the 2 bolt factory blocks will hold up to 800+ hp naturally aspirated with no addition mods, some guys are at 1000 hp with them living reliably.

If it is a 4 bolt block with D0OE-R heads, that's a great deal if it is in good shape.
