'69-'70 take outs i think . i was looking through my junk for some misc parts - got a few piston n rod assy's i saved . not needed . need some soaking and TLC for sure . one had some score marks i think . 4 ? 6 ? - i'll double check . anybody on here need a couple to replace a busted up set ? can have for shipping $$ and maybe throw a few bucks donation at V8B . i'll try and take a couple pics thursday 5-5-22 . ------------------------------------------ if nobody needs 'em i'll just throw 'em up on a buick facebook group i check in on for a few bucks .
couple quick pics . looks like they'll fit in a large flat rate box = $22 . 6 rods . 5 pistons ( one top land is busted up ) . 5 of the pistons swing ok , one needs some soak time and TLC . couple of the pistons have some scuff marks etc on 'em . all need a good cleaning minimum . i'd guess you could probably get 3 good sets out of the bunch . might be a good choice for someone putting together a low budget quickee build and you have a couple bad ones ? dish drop is about .100" . top OD is 3.765" . lower skirt OD is 3.780" . just some quick dial caliper measurements . ------------------------------------------ bonus - also have 8 low comp '69-'70 era pistons and rods . dish drop is .250" . about same condition . same deal . no pics .
got 4 cleaned up , rings removed and swinging free . ring grooves etc need a good cleaning and touch up . look ok for some std. throw in pistons . i'd use 'em for that i think . still working on #5 with the frozen pin . patience , patience , patience . not my strong suite in these situations . ---------------------------------- #5 - finally freed up pin , moves ok . so total is 6 rods , 5 pistons .
