I remember helping Oliver put that fiberglass hood on the GSX. Those are the original GSX front fenders that you have on the race car and I asked Oliver if he was sure that he wanted me to drill holes in them to add the fasteners. He said the fiberglass hood was catching so much air, it was trying to lift. The five hood pins were not holding the race weight fiberglass hood as secure as he wanted. So I drilled the fenders and installed the fasteners. This was done at the track during the GS Nationals that year.
No where in the ad does it say anything about the factory GSX body or frame. It actually says 1970 SKYLARK body and Chassis Dave had built. The Floor is the original GSX floor pan. The wheel wells of that original GSX body inside and out were cut and modified. There is a lot of welding that had to be done including the whole floor pan. I can post the vin # if anyone wants it. That GSX will never be all original sheet metal. That should clear things up.
Either way,I wish I wasn't into my project so deep, and retiring soon I'd think about it..The history is cool enough as it is..

MR Harrison, I changed the ad to clarify that it was MY GSX I bought from Dave. It always said it was rebodied so I added Skylark for a second time for you and the 17 others who missed it the first time. I did own the car.
