  2. In and effort to reduce the spam on the site, several years ago I had went to a program where I manually approve each and every new registration. This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. On Going Heat Soak Miss Problem

    Np. Keep in mind 13v can be near zero amps and therefore is a problem so a load test (or test light) needs to be used for your electrical tests...

    Are you still using the ballast wire or a ballast resistor for the points trigger?

    No Scott, I am not. When I put the MSD box in the car a few years ago, I replaced the resistor wire in the harness with a 12 ga. feed wire. The yellow wire at the starter is disconnected as well. No ballast resistor either.

    I'll have to give that a shot, if the carb checks out OK. I only used a volt meter when I tested it. I do have a new ignition switch that I got in a package deal, years ago.
