I am looking for a Kadett Wagon. Really. I have a parts wagon that is too far gone. Looking for a solid project. Not April Fools related, I want to paint it the same color as I am painting my sportwagon - Think, Big Enos, Little Enos from Smokey and the Bandit. Don't judge.
I just got to drive around in the Opel GT I picked up last fall . I'll have to get a picture of it . Lots of Buick parts in it now. Sport mirrors , seat belts and other things you will never see . They are around . good luck with finding what your looking for.
I bought the other one in a moment of weakness. Rebuilt 1.9 and a ton of parts with a 69 Kadett GT parts car. Unfortunately, they don't get better when they sit for 10 years...
I like them but I have not seen a single one in real life. Guess rust was not their friend. They cannot deny the GM gens in them. Front is somewhat either Novaesque or a Buick minus a front lamp on each side.
I considered the 74 and called them. Clean and has been a daily driver for a long time which is good. I really want a 69-71 Kadett though just for all the parts I have already collected. My older brother had a Manta in the 70s and I thought they were pretty cool. His was a great car too. Good mileage and put together well.
that 74 is an ascona wagon, not a kadett. a 74 kadett is a (rounder shaped) c-kadett sold from 75 and on as chevy chevette in the us but not as a wagon
Sold here as a 1900 sports wagon in 73-75. I have the brochures somewhere. Neat car but I am really looking for this:
i dont think there ever was a 1959 kadett from wikipedia The Opel Kadett is a small family car produced by the German automobile manufacturer Opel from 1936 until 1940 and then from 1962 until 1991 (the Cabrio continued until 1993), when it was succeeded by the Opel Astra. Production 1936–1940 1962–1991
I could have sworn it said Kadett on the front fenders, guess not. I would have bet money. Well it was a 1959 Opel wagon, and now I have a 2018 Opel (Buick) wagon.
thats an opel rekord olympia caravan (earlier spelled as car-a-van) very nice looking little wagon! it even had the buick "dollar grin grille" on the front
Another 1900 Sportwagon surfaces! Closer. This one has a stick! I might have to consider a non- Kadett.
