If it comes from the same can its unlikely, but not impossible. Just make sure you replicate your procedures for all panel, gun psi, gun distance, overlap can change the color. Most guys have problems when there are two different primer/sealer colors. High humidity will make the metallic stand up but it would have to be a pretty drastic difference. I sprayed a 67 vert shadow turquoise last year for a forum member, that color will darken up the more coats you put. Are you using a black or gray sealer? If you want it to pop a little more use gray, for a more subdued look use black. Be sure you overlap your door to 1/4 gap a minimum of 10in to avoid color buildup and stagger it each time

My suggestion is to hang the doors and fenders if the car is in the chassis, you can use the foam tape on the edges. If you seal it you will however need to "double dam" it. Your first tape line will go about a 1/16in inside the the edge then seal it then remove that tape exposing the foam tape that should sit 1/4 back from the edge then you can gi back and rub those edges in. Of course this only pertains if the car has been jambed

I'd it hasn't been jambed, hang the doors spray them on the car, put fenders in the booth spray with the car, and base the hood and deck outside the booth. Obviously you want to jamb the decklid out and let it cure for a few days b4 setting it on the stand jamb side down

Thanks Ethan. I appreciate your detailed comments. I am using a light grey primer all over. I am a little unclear about how to mask the door gaps as you describe?

Just tape the jambs as you normally but put the foam tape roughly 3/16 to a 1/4 back from the edge, then go back with either a smaller foam tape or masking tape pulled back over itself "sticky side exposed" and tap it 1/16 from the edge and then to the foam tape, spray the sealer if your sealing it. Then pull the tape of leaving just the foam. Sealer will go I further than base that's the reason for double damming it, that and it gives you some room to rub the edges in without exposing the sealer.. if you are not sealing it the just use the foam tape 3/16 from the edge and get after it
