    Hi guys,

The finish line is well within sight! I put full length headers on my 67 GS and I am hitting a wall trying to figure out how to route the brake line between the front wheels. Who has done this on a 64-67 GM A-body? I have spent lots of time trying to figure this out. I think I have some kind of mental block.
After this, all I have to do is some paint correction repairs, buffing and add Fluids. So near yet so far. I don't have anyone local to give me a hand with this brake line project. Thanks in advance for your time and ideas.

Here is how I did mine on the 66.

Thanks for the pictures. That looks great, but my headers won't let me route the lines that way. That's my problem. I need an alternative that keeps the lines away from the header pipes.

Would it help to move the brake proportioning valve location? Some of the A body kits locate it under the master cylinder.

That's how mine is set up up, under the MC. My main issue is getting from the hose over under around or through the frame rail due to the header pipes and the heat that they will generate.

The biggest issue is routing from the passenger side.

What headers are you running? I had TA headers on my first 66 and I ran the lines just like my pictures and My combination valve was on the frame

The safety inspection is very strict here in NZ. If my lines are closer than 2" to the exhaust, I have to use heat shield.

I had forgotten that the heat shield was an option. I just re-read the rules. It is helping me think about this differently just talking to someone about it.

There are a few spots where 2" clearance may not be possible. Heat shield would be a good option.

Yeah, exactly that is why I have been stuck. Our conversation helped me out a lot. Got me "unstuck" and able to reconsider my options. Thanks brother.
