Goodday everyone, I have a '69 Skylark 350-2 with a GM 12bolt rear end. I'm looking to turn the "peg leg" into a propper burnout puller. Nothing to fancy other than that. I identified, what is a 12 bolt GM with a 8.875" gear (I recon) with 30 spline wheel axles held by c-clips. Gearing is currently 2.56. Any posi carrier I find is minimum 3.08 gearing and up. So I'm already looking at a posi and gear and pinion upgrade. I'm still looking to use the car for cruising and sometimes already kinda miss a 4th gear, so nothing to agressive in gearing, makes me conside a 3.08. Pics attached of my rear axle opened up. I'm in need of a correct kit so I can go ahead an order it to put it in. I've been looking for a posi set but can't get much feedback from sellers on ebay (which handles import charges, as I need it shipped to the EU). I am no expert but have owned a 69 Canadian built Skylark and those were built with a GM 12 bolt. If yours is not a Canadian built car then some one swapped it in. There were some Olds 12 bolts but they had different internals. There are two experts here on the board Monzaz and Brian Trick . I would pm one of them they can be very helpful.

I've got a 2 series posi for that rearend. I currently has 2.56 gears on it but if you stayed with your current gears you wouldn't need them. If you just want the posi unit I'd take $150 for it plus shipping.
