Posi Rear End For GS, Optional?

    Holy moly I Did not think it had been that many years but that is the same article I have someplace where the time go
    So will the spider gears fit from another 10 bolt non posi ? That is what let loose in mine it lost some teeth

    71 buick 10 bolt is 8.5

    I'm sure it's been mentioned here 100's of times but,
    do the 68 - 70 GS 350's have the same beefed up 8.2 rear end like the BBB's?

    Showing my lack of knowledge about this. When my original 68 GS rear was being rebuilt at a shop there was a 69 GS rear there also being rebuilt. Both were stock rears with 2.93 ratio limited slip.
    Mine looked different than the '69 version internally, it had four "cones"? where the '69 had two. No sure what they were but mine had 4. lol

    What would be the difference between these two stock rears? Wish I had taken photos....

    I believe the Big block rears were 4 spider gears vs. 2 for the small block rears
