Check POSTON or the Parts Place for the front spoiler. I recommend buying the more expensive version if you buy form the parts place. I think POSTON has the correct hardware and center support bar. The hardware kit from the Parts Place was a joke, I returned it for a refund. The spoilers were available for 70 GSX from factory only and then 71-72 GSX factory spoilers again, but I think the dealer could install GSX ornemantion on a GS for a customer?:Do No:

I recently bought a Silver/Black/Black 70 GSX convertible. Does anyone recognize the car? As best I know, its from Lousiana or Florida.

If the car had a pearl white interior you could keep it gulf stream blue and have the GSX style stripes in white to match the interior. :kodak:

I am still leaning away for the GSX look on the vert. The GSX stuff just does not look as mean on the vert. Granted, knowing the pics of this one are of a 4 speed car.....

That 4-Speed car just sold on the EvilBay Buy-It-Now for $225,000.00. A tidy sum indeed for a car that needs interior work.

As stated by LOTS of members- do it your way and have FUN with it...I have 71' Platinum Mist and depending on the light it could be silver...for whatever its worth here are a couple of pictures.

same car-same time of day- just different light...

We also have a white 71' convertable if you would like to see some shots of that...black int./top/boot

I will always stick to my guns on this one phrase.."Build the car YOU want to build & who cares what anyone else thinks." :Smarty:

That being said, my personal preference is to NOT GSX clone a ragtop. It is my opinion that they don't look right to me. Let me elaborate as to why I like one color for ragtops...

If you have a hardtop & the car is painted all one color, the GSX cloning breaks up that color & looks great (no matter what scheme). If the car is a solid color like red, or yellow for that matter, it seems to need something to break it up, its almost too much red. That's what I like about vinyl tops & convertible tops. They break up the solid color. I think GS/Larks in red, or blue or any color for that matter looks great with the spoiler, gs hood & wheels and black or white vinyl/ conv. top. It's kind of the same with a GSX clone with a vinyl top, IMO, I like a painted top for a GSX.

Just my 2 cents. I wouldn't throw a stone at anyone's car. Just having a Buick, you're allright with any paint scheme. Just don't "Donk" it out w/22inch chrome spinner wheels.:TU:

In the process of completing a 70 White GSX Clone Vert. I love the look and the way it stands out in the crowd. It may be a clone, but boy is it fun!
