Quarter panel extension gaskets

    My first GS had them (Flint built '70), but, I never saw another car with them. It seems like they do just about nothing and probably disintegrate and fall out over the years.

    After all these years of owning,parting and selling parts....I learned something new about these cars..

    DL, I got one on you sunbelt guys. Every GM A body car I ever worked on had thin plastic washers under the stainless cowl trim screws. Stuff like that lasted up here where down there they got brittle and are long gone.

    I hear you Dave. All my cars have new plastic washers on the cowl screws, and other places they were used.

    Right, the more of a winter climate you live in the more likely you will know these.
