List of items needing attention is growing. When I purchased the car(long distance) we thought the water pump was leaking. 72 Suncoupe 350 4bbl, A/C, w/transcooler built in. Got the car home and it's actually the radiator. It's a three core Harrison. 28 1/4 x 17 copper tube and brass tanks. It's hot in South Louisiana so I will need the best cooling radiator. I'm not building a show car. It's a driver. And I'm seeing prices anywhere from $75 to $700. And tons of options. Someone school me.

Currently looking at this one. Same 3 row, same width, shorter height, copper/brass

Try going to this website, southwestspeed.com and find yourself an aluminum radiator. The universal ones work very well if you can find one with the correct inlet/ooutel configuration.
I had cooling problems with my Corvette years back and spent a lot of coin trying to cure it. The aluminum radiator did the trick and has performed extremely well ever since.

I use that same champion radiator in my Electra and it works great.
Is it overheating when idling or while driving down the road?

Don't really know yet. Purchased car knowing or thinking it was a water pump leaking but when it arrived off the transport truck it was the radiator leaking. Attempted to have it repaired but it was too far gone. Recore would cost $375 So I thought it would be easier to just purchase another. The two above are just about the same sizes. One a copper/brass one a total aluminum. And I figured since it's running 100 degrees and 100% humidity here is south Louisiana I'd need the best cooling I could get so that my A/C works the best once I fix that... Old owner didn't us the A/C so he didn't know how they worked together or how the car temps were when he ran it.

Go aluminum, you won't regret it.
