Nice rear axle A-car, Auburn posi 4:11 gears, new build. Drum brakes new as well. Have receipt for $1700 Came out of a 71 GS. REDUCED $900.

I'm looking for an 8.5 but would have to shipped. Plus I'm thinking 4.10 is a bit low for my needs. Will give it some thought.
If your hammer miles on the highway it could be too much but local or the occasional track day!!! or run with 200-4r and a little taller tire.
I have been thinking about running a 2004r that I have here instead of the turbo 400. I would have to have it shipped freight to a commercial address 21740 if I decide to get it. I also have some other gears if i wanted to swap out. I'm doing some thinking lol
This friend that has the axle has a 69 GS 455 that he swapped in a built 200-4r with 3:73 gear and short tires. The thing is a beast with the lower first gear and cruises with ease. I scored the built 400 out of his car for mine with 3:64 gears and at 70 i'm hitting like 3200 rpm. I don't think his is even at 3000.
