I want to say it is. His bread and butter is Rotary and Forward lifts.

Yeah, I know the garage doors will probably need to be altered. I will deal with that once I get the lift. I'm thinking one of three things. An additional panel is what most people do. Moving the lift arm over one panel is another option. My idea is to put the track at a 45° angle so that the door goes up instead of back. I've seen plenty of doors where the ceiling is higher than twice the door where they go nearly straight up.

From the looks of things, I think that if I put it as close to the center relief cut on the door side, it should work for Buicks and everything else I'd want on it.

I'm going to cut some templates out of cardboard and lay them out on the floor to see where I stand.

I switched to a side mounted garage door motor, and had the track raised closer to the roof.

I didn't see that one door is wider than the other! That makes sense, but not too close! :)

I have a rotary asymmetrical 9k lb with 12’ ceiling paid $1500 used. Took it apart myself and assembly wasn’t that bad .. over a year later lol. Just had my buddies 25oo hd Chevy up on it tonite. Great lift. My mechanic buddy has one also and swears by them !

Wired the breaker and the twist lock outlet. Also, wired up the power lead for when they install the lift.

I'm really wishing they hadn't cut that relief line dead in the middle of the whole length of the floor. One side or the other seems like too much and not enough.

I can move the cabinets and counters to free up some space but it is inconvenient.

    Tentatively, April 15th.

I also have a letter from the KY revenue cabinet. It could either be my refund or it could be something bad. I'm focusing on the lift. LOL

I got the call. The lift is supposed to be delivered and installed tomorrow morning. That's a day ahead of schedule.

I'll post pics. Cross your fingers.

Well, it wasn't installed as an asymmetrical due to some space constraints but it still allows longer arms in back and shorter in front. I've already had two cars up on it. Garage door opener is still in the way but that was known ahead of time.

All totaled, it was $3,365.39 delivered and installed.

Gratuitous pictures as I play with my new toy.

    Unloading lift.

    A working lift!

Tested it with a Honda first. No use destroying a good car if the posts fold in, right?

Now, we get down to business with a real car, the reason I bought it.

Yeah, it needs a good cleaning.
