Still needing some expert help. Interwebs haven’t provided much assistance. I figure out the clutch issue being a reversed interrupter switch.

I need to find a proper condenser. Even an modern better alternative is fine if it bolts in place.

Im assuming this is the receiver drier bolted right next to the compressor… need to find a replacement for this as well correct? I thought maybe the accumulator did that portion of the work in the system. Maybe need to delete it?

    Thanks in advance

I’ve also searched the local auto parts stores and nothing seems to be a direct fit according to their info… maybe a GM part number would help

Parts place sells a direct bolt in new condenser. You can also get a drier (that bolts to the front of the condenser). The part in the photo is a muffler

EDIT: I just realized you're working on a 74+ big car. The Parts Place condenser may work, but I don't know.

Forgot to add it’s in a 75 Electra.

Last thing I really want to do is take it somewhere. When I met with the previous owner when he replaced the compressor, the shop wanted to tear into the blower etc.

That’s not the issue. They had the interrupter switch reverse for one. Accumulator needs rebuild and I guess it could use a flush. Things I can attempt to address but I’d really just like a new condenser to avoid possible issues with the new compressor.

Rebuilding the accumulator seems straight forward and even though it’s not best used with 134 I don’t want to keep throwing money at new parts if it’s not even going to be running reliably
