I know I know... Old thread. I am looking for a picture of it installed. I have an original to use

 

And I am looking to find out what the heck it is> I never heard of a hood insulation strap. Reminds me of a muffler bearing.

 

Here's a pic of it installed on my car. Not a close up, but you can get an idea of how it looks on the car. I have a better pic but it won't upload for some reason.
