Repro fender bracing and qtr patch panels

George, any updates? Thanks.

 

My 72 needs some quarter panel patch work as well. How do I order them? I just got off the phone with sherman and they said they do not have any. Great work getting these for all of us.

 

I got home late today and didn't call him. I will call him on Monday to confirm everything. I emailed him last week but have not heard back.

 

I spoke to my contact at Sherman again....he is supposed to check with the fabricator on these items. He stated they should be done in April and will confirm. I told him, I know of many Skylark owners waiting for these parts and he needs to get these in-stock so owners can get their cars done.....been almost 4 months since I sent him the fender bracing....this, in my opinion, is taking too long...should have been a 2-3 month project at most...guess we have to be patient since no other manufacturer will make these items.

I am going to call him on Friday...I hope to have some better info.

 

I left a voice mail for him today and also sent an email. Should have a definite answer since these new parts are in their new catalog which is going out in May.

 

Ok, got the final info:

Inner fender bracing $50-60 per side
Rear lower qtr patch panels $40-50 per side

Both items will be done and ready for shipping in about 4 weeks.

This is great news....took a lil longer than expected but worth the wait!

 

Same answer I got. I'm getting excited to see them. I need some like yesterday.

 

i looked on their website for the patch panels but havent seen them yet, r these a club deal? if so how do i get involved. need these badly.

 

Not a club deal......just an idea I went over with Tom at Sherman and he agreed no other company was going to make them and his company was willing to look into it. I told him I would provide the necessary original fender braces in good condition to use as a template. He has been very helpful and both items are needed by many Buick owners. His rear qtr skin patch panels should be done about the same time. Once they are done, I will place pics, pricing and contact info on our site for everyone to review.

Got another update today from Tom......both parts are done....rear qtr lower patch panels and both fender bracing sides.......he will have them ready for shipping end of next week. FINALLY!:beers2: :beers2: :beers2:
