well all the only update I have is that I have mine in a box and ready to get shipped, but since I have been out of work for 16 weeks and fighting my ex emp for unemp bennies, I do not have the cash to spare to ship it, I am hoping to make a little this week and get it out, but no promises. I hate being so broke even coffee is expensive..
64 skylark lower q's put me in the loop for 64 lark lower quarters......i will help any way i can.....i don't have quarters to send....but do they need a whole quarter???.....or just bottom half?.......more info would be great....i got a few lines on some buick salvage people that would send parts.....so let me know...
Wolf Steel is hand making panels for a wide variety of cars. We do NOT stamp large panels here. We are not equipped to make hoods, door skins, or complete 1/4 panels. Large panels require large stamping dies; large $$ up front for the manufacturer. I really wish you guys who post here would READ this BEFORE you say stuff like, I need 1/4s..
Any Ideas? I've got a set of NOS quarters for the 64 / 65 Skylark - GS and before anyone asks... no...they are not for sale. I wouldn't want to send these out anywhere to anyone for obvious reasons however if we could think of a practical and inexpensive way of pulling some temporary molds from them, I'd be willing to help out the cause. Maybe this is crazy, but what if we was to pull fiberglass or wood reinforced plaster molds from the lower back sections and wheel lips that could be used to create correct dies or bucks? Anyone from around Ohio that would want to come over some weekend and help out? It sickens me to see so many 65's go to the graveyard just for the lack of sheetmetal. Ideas? Chris www.GranSports.com
I'll be needing a pair of lower rears too not too far down the road. Hm. With as many of these as are out there you'd think that someone like Year One would have at least the lower rears and partial wheel openings on hand.
I spoke to WOlf yesterday, and we talked about my lower repair areas, and he said they most likely will be finished in Feb, and I will post pics then. SInce all this started, I have found a BODYMAN locally who likes me, and fixed a banged up fender, to like new, for cheap. So I am very fortunate. He is a metal banger, not a bondo man either. I will post pics of what he can do, cause it was amazing in my eyes. Anyone else have issue with fenders getting smacked in the corner near the lights, and not be able to get it fixed? I will post a pic of what I mean, so you know..
UPDATE!!!!!! i SPOKE WITH ALLEN THE OTHER DAY IN EMAIL AND WE SHOULD BE SEEING THE REMADE LOWER FENDER PIECES SHORTLY, i BELIEVE THEY MOVED AND i WAS IN NO HURRY MYSELF, BUT HOPEFULLY BEFORE jUNE FOR SURE.. WOOOPS sorry for the caps all..
