Ring gear pattern advice

    Also If you are way too far off the pinion shim normality you might just have a defective set of gears. OR you just are not getting the carrier preload correct and or you are doing something wrong on your set-up process. ring gear might not be on the carrier correct races not seated in the housing correctly... ??? These are all things than need to be done correct or the whole set-up is doomed.

    The biggest problem I can see with you setting up the rear now is you need to keep the backlash closer to compare pattern...You can not be changing that all over the place. Your job as the installer to control the backlash. It is imperative that this is keep closer .009 .010 will be your best place to set up most gears for the easiest pattern check.
