riviera 72 gs

I know that the gs have a chrome air cleaner . But what is the corect air cleaner. see the pics

The pic shows the correct air cleaner, it was only supposed to have a chrome lid and the black bottom. Decals would only be on if it was the Stage 1, then a Stage 1 decal was on the chrome lid. Also Stage 1 and GS options had chrome valve covers. Hope this helps, goodluck.

Rivieras didn't get the chrome valve covers, just the A body cars with Stage 1's. The 72 GS base was the same as the all black air cleaner in the second pic.

True, what I should have said was that the 72 - up Rivs had the same small snorkel on the air cleaner as the other cars. 71 was the year that they had a bigger opening. The base part for a 72 would interchange with any big car air cleaner, only the lid was unique.

 

I would like to know if the chrome lid for the gs are the same for the 72 riviera gs ?
