Well, I came up with a PDF tutorial on how to replace the turn signal switch and canceling cam. Its not difficult, but I also realize that not everyone is a master mechanic. I hope this helps some folks. Here's a link to the PDF in Dropbox. https://www.dropbox.com/s/utplomy6ome141e/instructions-signal switch.pdf?dl=0
Thanks for Making this Matt! I only found it now, after I already repaired mine, but still, it's an excellent resource! I also would like to add that there is a Delco and Dorman repair kit for this, which only replaces the top plastic piece (the articulated bit turn signal switch) which allows you to leave all of the old wiring right were it is... Dorman #37495493000 Here is a link for the part at O'rielly's where I was able to go get the part the same day I needed it (shocking) The item came with two different plastic bits (one was correct for my 1968 car). All of the metal bits including the springs and the contacts are transferred from the old cracked plastic part. This seems good to me as the old stuff is brass and if if they reproduced it, it would be crappola. https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/...skylark?q=1968+buick+turn+signal+switch&pos=2
