Skylark hubcaps, 70 - 72. 14 inch. Hollander B-26. Original GM #1232961. Very good condition, only a couple have a few small tiny dents. $10 to $25 each depending on condition. Almost enough for two cars. $129 shipped 48 states for all seven.
Hi, I'm looking for a set of these for my '72 Skylark. I believe the car has 15" steel wheels according to the tire dimensions (207/70/r15) - not to ask a dumb question, but these hubcaps won't fit mine, would they? It has wheel covers on it now that I'm not a huge fan of. Thanks for any help! -Jake
Jake i have a set of 15” For a 68 (4) excellent shape $25. each. $100. for the set no scratches no dents.
Hey Steve, not sure why I never got a notification that you guys responded.. sorry for the delay. Those are the "poverty caps," correct? Thanks, and NewMex, thanks for the info.
I think I misspoke here.. in the OP, I mistook those for the dog dish caps I'm looking for. I have the full hubcaps, looking to go to the smaller 10.5" dishes. Thanks for posting, though.
I made a couple clocks out of my 14" hubcaps, removed the Buick medallion and mailed that out to a member making custom center caps for his aftermarket rims. Like ya said, tuff to sell.....Jim
Everyone seems to desire poverty caps. Anyone reproducing those, like the passenger side mirrors? Chicken Lips. I've never seen Buick or any other GM poverty caps in any quantity, in anything approaching decent shape/conditions. Closest I've ever seen is a set in a base '75 Century in the East El Paso U pull it a number of years ago. Amazingly all four were there. Two passable small caps and two bad ones. Left them in the car.
I believe that the "poverty" hub caps were standard on the standard base-level Skylark and GS with standard trim (not the optional "Custom" trim level) and the 14" wheel covers you are advertising were optional on the standard base-level Skylark and GS with standard trim (not the optional "Custom" trim level) and standard on the Skylark Custom (and Skylark 350 in '72) and GS with the optional "Custom" trim level. Of course, the wheels covers were replaced when the Buyer selected the rallye wheels, etc. My point being that these wheel covers are actually - I believe - the same ones which would have come on a Skylark or a GS depending on the trim level and options.
I actually bought a beautiful set of the ones newmexguy has for sale a couple years ago that came off of a low mi. Skylark for a car I'm re-doing (I may have bought the set of wheels for the car from newmexguy?). I love the chrome wheels but for some reason, on this particular super oddball '70 GS (basket case), I cannot picture the car "done' with anything but these covers (total stripper car but for some reason it originally came with these "Deluxe Wheelcovers" along w/a remote mirror & "Deluxe Steering wheel"). I think w/redlines they'll look great (Seamist Green car w/Sherwood Green painted top). My first Skylark ('70) had them as did my first GS ('72) I bought both in '84 when I was 17 and I liked them on those cars too. (Sorry, back to your sale thread - Hope you don't mind)
I have perfect 68 skylark hubcaps (4) They would look awesome on my car. But people just don’t like them. I love hubcaps. Aftermarket wheels. Not a Big fan
