Sucks man. He was an amazing guy who was loved by tons of people. Only 73 years young .He had COPD and been on oxygen for 6 years. Got diagnosed with lung cancer 3 months ago.

Funny thing is, he was doing OK in rehab and was going to be released Tuesday but God decided to take him in the wee hours of Monday morning. He was the only dad I had since my biological father hasn't been around my whole life pretty much. Zero contact for 25+ years. Sketchy up until then at best so never a good memory of him. Coincidentally my biological father passed about a month ago as well.

Bobby we love you for being in our lives for 24 years and Mom is heart broken . I am a better man because of you .

    R.I.P. ✌

Sorry for your loss Joe, I have been there and understand how you feel. I'm glad that you had a man like Bobby as a role model growing up. As the years go by, you'll find yourself sharing little bits of wisdom he shared, quoting sayings he liked to use and doing things that he taught you. Through you, and those with whom you share those bits and pieces of his life, Bobby's positive influence will affect many. His legacy will live on for years. Peace be with You & Yours, Joe.

Sorry for your loss. In some cases we wonder why the lord takes such a good man too soon. God blessed you by putting him in your family's life and being a real father to you. With all due respect lose the Step terminology. It sounds to me like he was the father in your life and should get the respect for being a good father and man. God Bless.
