For the rest of the world who may be following this thread, we were rained out. Not that it was raining; based on the "threat" of rain the track owners cancelled the 3:00pm event sometime before 11:30am. Dee did show up, but didn't bring the car...
Look what I won!!! The Broken Spoke award!!!!!!! :beer :beer :beer Thought I'd post a picture of the award before Phil posted the picture of me with my award where I'm wearing BAD HAIR. I just want to thank all of my loyal Buick friends for this award. After all of my whinning, bitching, complaining, moaning and groaning, not to mention all of the hard work I put into really messing up the car all by myself, and all of my unsuccessful runs at Temple for the last 3 Bashes, I guess I really earned this award! :beer :beer :beer  Thanks Phil and all of my great friends for your support!!!! :TU: Next time I'll be running like this: :3gears: :3gears: :3gears: Instead of like this; :3gears: :3gears: :moonu: :af:
Glad I did not miss any action. I went back and forth Saturday afternoon about heading out. Ultimately decided not to. So, when is the next date ? Ben
Dee, just so you'll know...that's a '73 Chebby ring gear, the open 8.5" carrier out of the 2NABOT (295K miles, thank you), and the driveshaft yoke/end and 2 Holley model 1909 1-bbls are courtesy a '62 Ranchero. And the top off an old Boy Scout Rally trophy. Thanks for the pic, my nephew had a blast helping put it together, and says HI! And why isn't it up on your mantle? Afraid something will break???
Wow 295k!!! I feel very honored to have a piece of the 2NABOT in my home! :TU: I don't have an actual mantle, just a little brick ledge, so it has to sit there. Yep, if I don't keep it low, it's so heavy it might just break something! Tell your nephew thank you! I don't think I'm going to ever want to part with it when it's time to pass it on. :ball:
(If I time it right, I'll be able to swap in the new 455 right after it rolls over 300K. At each 100K miles, I've taken it up to 100mph while the odometer rolls over, and I oughta have the 350 do it one last time...)
