Excellent picture above. Note that the entire pump assembly is a SET, fixed or SWitch Pitch. Besides the outer shell with different length splines, SWP has a hydraulic amplifier in the pump assembly, which controls the pitch pitch fluid into a big piston in the converter. The amp in turn is controlled by a 12V solenoid valve. The SWP shaft has an extra oil passage to the piston in the converter. Bruce Roe
