These are all good , valid points as observed and the OP doesn't make any false claims or misrepresentation.
I am no machinist, it dors appear given the brazing they tried to seal up where it punched through when the seats were cut. I'm not sure how brazing will hold up here as you now have 2 very dissimilar metals expanding at different rates. I think to repair these will take a very experienced machinist and good bit of work. I had a pair of basic bbc heads done that needed guides a few surfaces reached, reused springs and valves and it was over 1000. So I can the bill to fix these going easily double maybe more. I hope they can be saved and put back into service for someone. It's a piece of history for certain.....and worth saving......but the total investment will be the issue
I will pass. Need too much work for me. Thanks for opportunity. I need a set for my stage 2 build. Just wish they were not modified. Glws
You made it a point to mention that you you were being bypassed just to be put back in line so you can pass on them..????
Once I did a detail read of what was needed for these to be useable, it was too much for me to take that risk. In progress of accumulating parts to build a stage 2 motor, but did not realize how much the heads are going to be when fully redone.
I hear ya Rus I was going to hoard (saw when only posted for a few minutes) them since I didn’t have anything that cool anymore but they are out of my league. Hope someone get those an salvages them. Definitely not making anymore
