I grew up in Lakewood, my parents and grandpa bought cars there back in the day

 

This car was from Barry Buick in Lakewood. My dad bought it off the showroom floor.....

 

They are on their way to Steve Murray .

That was bamboo cream, dark brown top, burnished saddle bench seat interior. My older brother bought it from my dad in 1979 and I from him in 1981 at 15. My first car........

 

So ….. is it still around ??

 

No, it is not. It died an unfortunate death. It was a fun car and I enjoyed many adventures with her......

A great big shout out to Lou !! My matchbooks arrived today in perfect condition. I thought it was cool that he would reach out to a member like this for a cool little momento ! Talked to him 20 minutes on phone too, what a great guy and good for Buick community ! Thx again Lou ….. now to get this stage 1 project rolling !!!

 

Glad to unite a piece of a dealership to a car that originally came from it . I'm always looking for these tid bits whenever I go to Carlisle or Hershey .

Someday I hope to find something from Bill Price Buick in Burlington N. C. where my car is from . Someone already hooked me up with a deck lid name plate but I'm always looking .
