Hi all, I've been working on this product for quite some time now after finding no other parts like this for my '75 Century. After months of testing and revision it is ready for production. I am open to any suggestions and critiques. I only have 1 for sale right now but I will be making more as the days progress and will certainly take backorders. Thank you for looking! - Standard air cleaner riser designs are too narrow in diameter for choke linkages on Holley and QFT carbs to work without binding. They also do not fit the opening of many stock air cleaners - good luck fitting a gasket to them! This new design solves all of those problems. Now you can adapt stock air cleaner assemblies to aftermarket carburetors with no binding of the choke linkage! Raises the air cleaner of a classic car to clear ports and inlets. Expanded sides allow proper function of the choke linkage. Wide flanges allow the use of stock air cleaner openings with a gasket. Fits carburetors with 5 1/8 inch standard flanges. 1 3/8 inches tall. Sturdy ABS construction https://www.etsy.com/listing/1035516795/stock-air-cleaner-riser-adapter-for
Quickfuel Technology. They are owned by Holley and have the same design, but often with updated or new features. For example, Holley 4160 uses a thin metering plate for the secondaries, and you have to change the entire plate to adjust secondary jet size. QFT 4160 modified this design by installing jets onto that plate, so you can change jets like a 4150 design while retaining the compact size of the 4160.
So I've had some internet warriors tell me that because this is made out of ABS, the gasoline around the carburetor will melt the plastic. Ignoring that you shouldn't have gas gushing out of your carb throat... Aren't all the plastic air cleaner parts made out of ABS? Tell me how a $9 ABS mass-produced part from autozone is using a proprietary gas-proof blend of ABS
