Keep thinking I should spring for a set or 2 of bare 350 castings but since I don't need them for quite a while been hoping they'd sell out & make improvements of subsequent run(s). When I talked to Tim about it last year his words were "we'll always have them."
Not necessarily. There's been a resurgence in "Retro" muscle era cars and as long as the younger guys can afford them they will buy 'em. Let's face it, they are a performance bargain. What's still out there will be slow to dwindle. That means the market will be there for a long time yet and as the owners get more established they will be better able to afford those high dollar heads. Still a LOT of 350 Buicks out there and those high nickel blocks have been holding up very very well. The Rover heads are a bit different. They are in the process of being discovered for the 300 and 340 but require a specific build rather than a head swap. (MAYBE you could get by with a head swap on a 2bbl but maybe not.) OTOH there are a LOT of Rover V8s in the world that can use a direct head swap and those seem to be selling. I don't think TA made a mistake, you just have to take the long view. Jim
Price please? Due to Jim weise and my engine build I've been a ghost Around here and ventured into AMC and Mopar ..
