I would like to know if the TA lifter bore girdle comes with the end plates that bolt to ends of block valley?
I guess every block cast, the width of the girdle bar can very. So the length has to be cut for each block and welded to the mounting plates.
If the girdle does not come with end plates. What thickness of steel plate should be used and what shape are they usually cut? How far below the top of the valley ends where the intake seals are the holes drilled?
I've also seen a few pics where 2 bolts are used at each end to mount it.
So what's size and grade of bolts?
    Ill guess grade 8 bolts.
No idea if length and size. Or how to seal holes for no oil seepage except silicone.
    Thanks for any help.

Im thinking shouldered grade 8 like the ones used on pinion gears would be good. Snug fit would be a must. Dosent the TA web site show it? No it dosent I just looked. Larry will soon respond . Or will it be Jim ?

Comes with the plates. I welded them on the bar then marked and drilled the holes. 1/4 x 20 socket head screws IIRC. Had to use some very thin alumn as shims between the block and end plate to make it tight. never an issue or leak

Thanks Briz. I have one avaluable to me. But it was sent to seller with no end plates. I'm sure I could make them or see if I can get them from TA.
Guess the one your speaking of the intake is on now. I am curious to know the end plate thickness.?
    Maybe 1/4" to 3/8" thick?
    The bar is 1.5" x 1.5" thick.

Brian. Have you installed it yet ?
If not, can you measure how thick the plates are and send a pic of the shape? I may have to make them.
    Thanks.

Shouldn't be too hard to figure out, measure girdle, measure inside of China wall to inside of China wall, bmsubtract the 2 then divided by 2.

I believe 1 end is angled slightly

Sounds about the right thing to do. Probably a good idea to use minimal shims like Briz did.
I sure would like to make sure the plates are correct height to drill holes where intended.
    Ill look for more pics.
Talk to you soon about it.

It needs to be fitted anyway. Whether you massage the block, the end pieces,or both.
