Taller oil filter

    May not be enough room to the frame unless youre using a different pump cover thats clocked differently

    TA sells a new pump cover that angles the filter slightly different for more room.

    I dint think they're a new design, maybe new castings. If I'm not mistaken those are the same covers that are used on Rivieras since they have an X frame and the oil filter would hit the frame rail if the filter were to go straight out? Some one with better knowledge can chime in to correct me or to confirm.

    That's actually the late model V-6 pump cover, that TA puts the correct size filter nipple in. They come with a smaller diameter metric thread.

    The OE 455 covers are no longer available new.

    I like that pump cover, I save the OE 455 ones for resto motors.

    20220504_093515.jpg The new TA oil pump cover (filter adapter) i received along with the new TA timing cover is angled differently and has the part number 25524990
