Sweet lord, could you go put eyes on that beauty for me Chris? I see you're not too far away. Seems worth it just to get the parts so I can get my car rodded late 70s style properly.....Today I finished the conversion from ACE key set to GM style by doing the passenger side door lock. Did a couple improvements on the door panel while we were there, lubed everything up and working good as new.

Are you serious Lucas? I was half there on Saturday to pick up some wheels from a friend who was coming from Happy Valley OR. If you are serious about it, I could see how close he is. I am about 3 hours away.

Hahaha....no buddy, not serious :) That car, strangely, is probably worth it to someone (not me) if the body is clean. Funny to see sidepipes on something that might run a 20 second quarter on a good day..... I appreciate your offer though.

It doesn't mean jack or squat what the weatherman says.... if I drive this car it's going to rain. Took some cool pics (I think) after the storm passed and I washed it. No filter but I'll play with that later.

Doesn't need filters.. Those of the rear with lights on would make a great poster..

The previous owners would be proud with what you have done for that car :)

Did a little touch up to the black sections of the fins between the fender and bumper while it was raining out yesterday.

Started on the package tray replacement tonight. Much better color, old one was faded and material was loose. Fits great. Decided to stop at putting the front trim on as it was fighting me and I have a few friends over every wednesday for beers after work, so I'll have some extra hands.

Finished up the package tray (a little spring clip adjustment left to do), been teaching a couple of the young guys from my job a little bit of how to work on an old car....great kids, love working on it...buddy Ross stopped by in the Blazer we built for him a few years ago. Broke the t-case, rear diff yolk, and case yoke doing 6500 rpm 2nd gear clutch drops one night showing off, and it just kinda got set aside. Aluminum head 355 set up for a drag Camaro we built in it. Got it finished last night for a test drive after finishing replacing broken bits, then he brought it by to show the young guys, and I gained another guy to help tonight...... Got the seat pulled for the seatbelt install while I had some extra hands here. Seat must be a legitimate 200-250 lbs. Got it out with no scuffs or scrapes....

Finished up the seat belts last night and installed the seat this morning. The blue matches very nicely.

Lucas, it's cool that you are teaching kids how to work on old cars. I wish somebody had taught me stuff a long time ago. And...I'm still learning!
