Ryan, agree getting out of buckle is a pain but once you get it out. I use a vice and pull apart so you can clean it up. Soaking in evapo rust works wonders and then I spray w clear. I think this is what your talking about.

Today I took a look around the rest of the GSX and cleaned out the trunk. I posted a video on youtube showing what I am seeing in the car and truck.

I also took a few pics of the area under the screen of the cowl area

Nice job on the video, Ryan. Not sure if you've produced many in the past but you are like an old pro on this one.

Ordered my new interior from Legendary this morning. Not as long a wait as some people are saying. Legendary said they would have it all to me by the end of April. Sure wasn’t cheep but it’s part of restoring a old car.

Does anyone hate trying to get the rear bumper bolts that attach the bumper to the frame off as much as I do ? Thankfully after cleaning them several times and soaking them they came off without a crazy amount of work. I also looked around under the car as well as cleaned up a few parts for the car such as the shifter, marker lights, and the original grill emblem. Little bites at a time and I am excited that next out will be the gas tank. I really hope the build sheet is in good condition.

Dave working his magic on a drivers side fender . Checking a few things before tackling the pass side. Looks fantastic!!! Old one was patched but not done to a high standard that was accepted to ol Eagle Eye Tumas.

I have always said its the people on this board that make the difference and make it a great place. I want to thank a few guys here for helping me get a 1970 core support.
After a long search I found a AMD reproduced core support on craigslist. (No longer made) but it was all the way in Dracut, M.A. and thats about 14 hours away from me. George knew the seller (I think he is on here and I just cant remember his name at this moment) and had dealings with him. George was willing to go pick it up and save me some time driving. Then after talking to a few people Dano here on V8Buick said he had to go up near George and was willing to bring it down to Maryland (around 5 hours away). Dano also bought a engine from a board member in NC so it worked out great for the both of us. I brought him his engine and he helped bring my core support down closer to me.

Thank you both all very much for your help.

PS ... Picking up the core support from Dano he also hooked me up with a nice WG wheel. Whats really cool is its the wheel is the exact date code as the other 4 wheels on my GSX 2 18 70. Now all 5 of my wheels match. I also talked him into parting with a cool license plate for my wall of tags.

Brian Trick sold me a tilt column he restored. I haven't even pulled it out of the box yet but he sent me pics of it and it looks great.

I had a similar deal a few years ago with some NOS fenders that were on Ebay. I was trying to get someone local to pick them up for me after I paid for them.Unfortunately for me,they sold before I found anyone local to the guy. Fortunately for me,I received an email from Troy Acton saying he had my fenders. He bought the NOS radiator support the seller was selling and picked up the fenders for me as well. By that time Sean Ryder was out that way picking up a car in Indy and he dropped by Troy's and picked up my fenders..I was stunned at the gesture of both Troy and Sean..

The Buick railroad is still going strong!

Nice plate! A previous owner back in 93 had a similar plate on my car

A good time was had by all. What Ryan didn't mention is that he brought an engine up here w/him for me from NC. Said he was going to George's to p/u a core support & was going to stop by & well, I said I'm going up to CT already - I'll go to MA & get the core support if you can bring me the engine & we'll meet at my house in MD. Worked out perfectly.

I enjoy doing it - Great way to meet ppl. Wait 'til everyone sees what I pull into the Nationals w/on Wed., lol. It'll be a sight.

Maybe fewer parts runs coming up although we'll see. Need to build some cars!

The original plan was to meet up with Ryan when I went down to SC to pick up the GS 350. That time table was a moving target... So, this plan was set into motion. Sorry I missed Dano as I was at work when he picked up the support. However, I am SURE there will be more parts, more trips, and more meets in the future!

Picked up a few things at the Nationals for the GSX Day2 build. I thought these were just really cool so I plan to run these in the rear of the GSX with some air shocks.

Special thanks to GSJO for a awesome Cal Custom "Big foot" gas pedal and matching "Little foot" high beam pedal. I really had to laugh at them as I remember them from back in the 70's. Seen them on Vans, Boats, and Classic cars.

GSJO aslo had a set of Buick mud flaps I just couldn't pass up.
