Hi, well it's getting to be that time of year again. I usually do this between Thanksgiving and Christmas. If you're interested in getting your hood latch restored, please post here so I have an idea of how many people are interested. I will have springs for the earlier years this time around, back to 1964 I believe.

Prices should be the same as last year, which I believe was about $45 for just a re-plating and $54 with new springs. earlier years this time also back to 1964 I believe.

Sign me up for the one on my '70 for sure.

Would it be correct for the '64 Wildcat too? If so, sign me up for that one as well.

How about other parts that get the same plating?

I don't know if it's correct for a Wildcat latch, but I can certainly do it. I can also do other parts such as disc brake brackets and I believe the shifter bar from the trans up to the column is supposed to be done. I did one for someone else who said that was factory correct.

One thing I cannot do is brake boosters. They have to be dismantled to do that right.

I'd like to get mine done. I've been waiting for you to do another run.

I experimented with Eastwood's gold cad mimicking paint, and it looks really
    cheesy. [IMG]

How do you get those springs out?

Best way to get the springs out is to do the outer one first that works the hood pull. then you do the one on the bottom. After that, you can easily do the big one on the inside in the middle. I use an awl or a small flat tip screwdriver.

    Thanks Phillip.
I guess without looking at it I was thinking you had to disassemble the whole latch.

Would you be willing to do a set of 4-speed linkages such as shown here (photo courtesy of Jim Lore)? That would be a great help to me! Let me know, thanks!

For Canada, it would be an extra $4 for the extra shipping costs.

Is that everyone? If so that's only about 15, so I don't know if I'd be able to do it this year. I really need to do about 25-30 so that I make sure I don't go negative on the $$.
