Hi everyone, Hope your making out as best as possible in these crazy times we live in. I'm planning on buying new tires and rims for my '65 Skylark convertible. I was thinking of going either: 215x65x15's all around or 215x65x15's in front & 245x60x15's in back on 7"? Will I face any rubbing issues? What do you think will look best as well? Thanks, Nick
Wheel back space will be very important. Go through this thread and see if any of the posters have 65's. Take your time, the information is here, somewhere, http://v8buick.com/index.php?threads/what-tire-size-and-rim-combo-are-you-running.194022/
Did some research for you, http://v8buick.com/index.php?thread...15-tire-on-the-rear-of-a-1965-skylark.314374/ http://v8buick.com/index.php?thread...special-billy-goat-wagon.273594/#post-2249509 http://v8buick.com/index.php?threads/largest-front-tire-wheel-65-skylark.265170/#post-2184111 http://v8buick.com/index.php?threads/1965-skylark-gs-max-wheel-and-tire-size.171144/#post-1349643 http://v8buick.com/index.php?threads/wheels-n-tires-for-a-1965-skylark.141985/ There's more, just need to do a search. It doesn't matter whether you are running 14" or 18" wheels, back spacing requirements will be the same for the wheel width.
Nick, I have 15"x7"'s with P215/65R15 all the way around on mine. No problems or issues and it looks amazing!
