Very nice!:) I was thinking your mid 12's were 12.60's or 12.70's. Even better at 12.38 and thats before some nice changes that I want to see what it runs.
So they can make good HP and the great TQ providing you learn these engines likes and dislikes.

The Flint Flyer Buick sponsored was stroked to 469 cu. as was TV Tom Ivo's back in the day who ran 454 nailheads and looking for member who has the angry nailhead that runs a mid 11's?

We may try again to get the Nailhead into the 8's we were close but the valve springs were toast. It was like running with a governor:D.
Great job to all who keep the Nailheads alive and running strong....

Oh so close till i'm guessing was valve float of some kind.
How many rpms was it running?
Forgot to ask, were the TA cams not good enough? and you are running a custom cam?

We ran a custom Schneider cam.
We would run about 6,500rpmin the beginning. We do not run water so heat cycles can be rough

Is running no water because the block is fully filled or the lack of water pump?

As for the block fill question I realize it's a 1/4 mile dragster but curious if the Nailhead block needs more support at that level..
