I think,.. I once heard, that cars made with a Rear Spoiler, had a thicker or Heavier Torsion Bar to lift the Trunk Lid.
Is this true..??? and Are Convertible versions, any Different than Hardtop versions..???

I have a Convertible, That I want to have a Heavy, NOS Rear Spoiler Installed onto it. I bought mine at a Buick Dealership in 1983.

i think you just need to adjust where the bar sits in the slots, there are different holds for the bar and they should add or remove tension to lower and raise the trunk lid.

IIRC, the Fisher Body manual mentions changing the position of the rods but there are different part numbers listed on the 1975 Buick Parts Catalog.

Like Skylark 72 said, there are IIRC 3 different slots for the torsion bars.
