Is anyone running a trans blanket on a TH400 in a 70-72 GS? I am running 2 1/8" Stage 2 headers, and there is no room between the header and shifter linkage. The linkage almost touches the header. Maybe an 1/8" . If I put it on, it will be against the header. Suggestions?

    Thank you.

By transfer blanket are you referring to a blow or scatter shield?

If so I have a car unit the we use. Not cheap, but covers the the bellhousing plus the trans top. Doesn't fit eactly like a glove. I have the thicker webbed case and had to grind some spots for clearance. But did fit better on my standard case.

My motor is moved back and this needed some tranny tunnel relocation, but in a normal location I'm sure it would not be an issue.

Seeing it uses the transfer bolt to secure with just a strap around the pan in the rear you shouldnt have any issues. It clears everything on out te2 heads with the same size headers.
