Transmission Fluid Leak

I know for sure that my car has developed a transmission fluid leak, but this leak is kinda odd. When the car is parked, the fluid doesn't leak...meaning there is no big pool/puddle of transmission fluid on the ground where I keep the car parked. When I drive, however (when the system is pressurized?), I can see a trail on the pavement that looks like a constant stream of transmission fluid. Steady line...not a series of drops. Looking under the car, I can't quite pinpoint a source from a general visual inspection.

Any ideas on what might cause this type of leak?

    Thanks,
    Langston

That isn't odd at all. Obviously, it leaks when the fluid is under pressure, the transmission oil pump is turning. Prime candidates are the transmission cooling lines, check both ends. When the car is moving, the air flow will spray the fluid all over the place, so that isn't going to help you locate the leak. What you need to do is get the car up on jack stands and clean everything, then run the engine and look for the leak. It should be constant when the engine is running.
