Just put in some weatherstripping I had bought years ago.
Turns out stuff doesn't even come close to fitting, shows air all around and explains dampness in the trunk!
So, I am looking for the world's best weatherstripping for this application. i don't mind paying a premium for something that fits, I do absolutely hate doing a job over!
    Recommendations please.

    Thank you

    @Daves69 and @Gulfgear
What did you guys use to apply the weather striping? Adhesive?
    Thanks,
    Nick

Weatherstrip adhesive. I prefer clear or black.
Install the weatherstrip in the channel without adhesive. Close the trunk lid for about a week to help it to set.

I’ve tried them all and Precision brand is the best. It has the correct cross profile. All the others and it’s slam city and the lid still might pop open.

I just ordered mine. Thank you guys for your honest opinions!!!!!!!!!
It's kinda weird, 30 years ago soff seal had everything for our cars. Now they have one item, tail light lense gasket, and in their review section some Buick guy said it was to skinny and did not work. Crazy!

Hey, stupid question here...Whenever there is a 50/50 chance, I always pick the wrong way :)

Does the curved top edge go in towards the trunk opening as shown in pic? Or does it face towards the outside (quarter and tail lights) of the car?

    Thanks,
    Nick

I ended up using Steele Products. Seemed to fit ok, and even come with a diagram on the right way to install it.

Doo Wop Where were you in '62?

GM NOS weatherstrip is the absolute best. Lotta $$$ but worth it.

Be Careful with GM. There is more on the market that is huge and meant for later cars. Real old GM is latex and has a string inside of it.
