Looking at UMI's front suspension. Anyone ever use them. How are they?

I think they have a great reputation with the pro-touring boys. Excellent tech support too.

I bought a set with the tall ball joints during their Thanksgiving 15% off sale. It's a good deal if you can wait. They are still in the box, but they look awesome!

Of course, they will soon roll out a set of adjustable front uppers, so I wish I would have waited.

I have their stuff everywhere in the rear of my 1966 Skylark. Very nice fit and finish.

Phil It really *is* a 350...

I used UMI for my upper rears and my rear swaybar. I chose UB Machine for the lower fronts. The uppers I ended up using Summit Racing. The Summit uppers have CPP stamps and hardware on the packaging. :)
The UB Machine lowers were the most cost effective purchase overall.

I have UMI rear upper and lower tubular control arms, I have different brand for fronts. Rear and front is insanely stiff!! But I've also pro-toured my '71 GS so it handles like it's on rails. I give UMI a huge thumbs up!! Drove the car 1300 miles from NYC to Columbus recently for the BPG's, and it handles like a dream...just like a brand new car! No bouncing around or slowing down on turns for me, LOL

    UMI's are a quality product.
I'm looking into the non adjustable fronts for the 71 with the .9" extended upper ball joint and .5" longer lower. The tall upper helps control camber on fast corners and the tall lower essentially helps lower the car and reduces factory bump steer. Using the tall ball joint option essentially is a poor mans spindle change. I've been told that UMI's non adjustable version have also been optimized in design over the initial model releases.
Can't wait to try these with the QA1 coilovers.

I'm almost sorry I didn't consider these on the 70 project. We used the internet specials and had some fitment issues and also had to change out the crappy ball joints.

Just placed another order with them. All I have left is the front control arms and I'll have the full package.
