So, everything is going great, I noticed that the spare I put on the Suburban was a little low before I left Darrens. I stopped about 15 miles from his place and aired it up, didn't want any trouble on the way home....
Everything is going great, on time to make it home before dark (it's about 4:30pm CST), tires aired up, drinking a wild cherry pepsi and listening to the Scorpions on XM radio.... About 10 mile from the gas station where I aired up the tire, I hear this strange whirring noise, after checking the right side mirror I see smoke...., I pull off the highway and into a Kohl's parking lot to find this......
So I call up the Uhaul 800 number on the trailer, and they tell me I need my contract #, which I don't have because, remember, the guy told me to leave my name, address, yadda, yadda, and we'd take care of it when I got back. Sooooooo, I call the place I rented the trailer from, it's 5:03pm CST and they're all gone. I call the guy whose phone # I had (different #, they have 3), and he says just give 'em my number if they want the contract #. Sooo, I call the 800 # back, by some mirical (spelling?), they don't ask me for the contract #. After getting disconnected twice, I tell them I have a flat and now I need the dang running lights fixed because I won't make it home before dark.... Although they were nice about it, I still had to wait 90 minutes for TWO different people to come to repair the trailer, one for the tire and one for the lights. Anyhow, I snapped this picture while I was waiting....
Bored yet ??? Well here's the end of the story. The last shot when I finally got the car off the trailer at my house about 10:30pm. It's still worth it, the car looks great.... Thanks to Darren for the great body work and paint, highly recommended.....

Hell of a story Harry lol. I will make sure that all of my tires and spares are ready to roll before I head out to pick up my car when it is done. Man I bet it is nice walking out and looking at that big mirror you call a 72 Stage 1
Xtreme Gotta love the before and after shots... Mans got Tallent,(the painter) and Owner is one lucky fella......
NIce work Great story, better damage to the trailer than the GS. I had a very hard time sleeping the first night i got my car Keep us updated. I have one question for you, your rear tires look AMAZING in that shot of the rear of the car, with no bumper when you first laid eyes on it. Mind my asking what size you are running? Atleast at the time the pic was taken.
Azeem, They are Goodrich T/A radials, and I think they are 265/60R15's. I'll double check tonight and let you know. Harry
Here ya go Jarrod. I've gotten a little further than this but need to take some newer pics. 3/4 on view.
