Summer, sure. Not much here in winter except the barn. 4CCB4DC7-5444-4F15-9C73-88F6112C6A3D.jpeg 39A312C4-9E2E-42B2-AE52-87EE827AB995.jpeg

Thanks Darren. I am not much of a tequila drinker, but my brother is, so I am always looking for new ones to suggest to him. I know he thought the Termana was good (It is the Rock's tequila). Don Pilar is one of his favorites though.

I dont want to change the appearance of the car in any way. I like it just the way it is. All I want to do is get it mechanically up to snuff. The name of the game is conserve, not restore.

If you drop the tank look for the build sheet. It should be taped directly on top of the tank, under the tar paper sheet.

Let me know what you find.

    docgsx It's not a GTX

Last sidenote, the Don Roberto is a price point tequila which is OK. I would rate it at a 7 out of 10. It has that woody finish that I don’t care for. image.jpg

Good to know! Probably worth having done even on a "good" tach rather than risk having to pull it back apart although next car I'm not putting the dash pad on until everything checks out electrically.

Tank is down! Bad news is no build sheet. And I'm 100% sure this tank has never been out of the car. Lots of dirt and mud dauber nests

And just for posterity, here are a few pics of what the underside of the trunk floor looks Ike, complete with yellow overspray

While I'm here, might be a good time to service the differential...

I see more cleaning and refinishing in your future! Can't you change the sender without pulling the tank?

I don't believe so Bill. It has to come out through the top of the tank.
